La Liga: Barcelona targets records after Betis win
Barcelona's team achieved a big victory over Real Betis with a 5-2 scoreline away from home, continuing to top the Spanish league standings with 27 points after 9 matches, marking an ideal start to the season. Barcelona aims to set two historic records: becoming only the second team in La Liga history to win the first 9 matches after Real Madrid in the 1968-1969 season, and reaching 39 goals this season, making it the second strongest scoring start after Sevilla's 42 goals in the 1940-1941 season. Atletico Madrid is in second place with 22 points, while Real Betis is third after their loss, giving Real Madrid a chance to move up if they beat Sevilla tomorrow.
