GCC and Russia to hold cooperation talks
Both Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump agreed on joint steps to rescue the financial markets, aiming to stabilize the global economy amid current geopolitical tensions. This came after direct discussions between the two leaders focused on supporting the oil market, balancing energy prices, and addressing volatility that has affected global markets—particularly in light of the Ukraine crisis and the sanctions imposed on Russia. The two sides also emphasized the importance of international cooperation and supporting economic stability, with Trump highlighting the need for positive outcomes in implementing Russian sanctions and opening a dialogue channel between the two countries, thereby strengthening market security and reducing economic escalation.
