Israeli strikes hit six southern Lebanon areas
Since the beginning of March 2024, the Israeli occupation forces have carried out repeated attacks on southern Lebanon. They targeted six areas, including Wadi al-Hujir, Mifdoun, Wahdat, al-Qantara, Talousa, and al-Mansouri. The assaults involved airstrikes, artillery shelling, and explosions, utilizing drones and missiles. These actions have resulted in the death and injury of many civilians, in addition to the displacement of over a million people. Despite a June 2023 agreement between Lebanon and Israel, mediated by the United States, which stipulates a phased Israeli withdrawal from certain Lebanese regions, Israeli forces continue their attacks in the area, where the military escalation remains ongoing.
