Macron wraps Gulf tour with Saudi visit
French President Emmanuel Macron made a surprise visit to Riyadh as part of a Gulf tour that included Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Qatar. The visit aimed to bolster cooperation in response to Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and to diversify energy resources. This visit comes amid escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and ongoing coordination with regional leaders to ensure the security of oil and energy supplies, along with commitments to supply diesel and liquefied natural gas from Gulf countries.
