Lujaina Darwish, honorary president of the Oman-China Friendship Association, continues to strengthen ties between Oman and China, carrying forward a family legacy entrusted to her after her father, Mohsin Darwish, was honored in 2016 for his role in fostering Sino-Arab friendship. She became president of the association in 2018 and its honorary president in 2020. She has supported the introduction of Chinese language instruction in Omani public schools to promote educational ties and youth exchange. She believes the thousand-year friendship between the two countries deserves to be passed down through the generations.
