U.S. President Donald Trump joked in an interview with Fox News that he would move to Israel and become prime minister if Americans got tired of him, adding that his popularity there was 99%. In the same interview, he said Washington would end its aid to Israel by the end of the year, arguing that Israel no longer needed it, and said he had discussed the matter with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
