Omar Dances After Victory
U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar celebrated winning another term representing Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, dancing to Somali music alongside campaign staff and members of the Somali community. Videos circulating online showed celebrations in Minneapolis, where participants waved American and Somali flags. Her victory came as a federal criminal investigation into statements and possible fraud involving her family’s immigration documents remains ongoing.
