Heavy rains flooded tents and displacement camps across the Gaza Strip, damaging essential belongings. War-damaged buildings partially collapsed and people were injured; around 30 Palestinians survived the partial collapse of a building in Gaza City. The Government Media Office said 70,000 tents were flooded within 12 hours, causing losses of more than $3 million. Civil Defense received more than 1,500 distress calls. It said shortages of equipment and fuel were limiting its ability to respond to the effects of the storm, and called for urgent support, relief supplies and shelter materials.
