Finnish Employers and Unions Disagree on Ukraine Drone Wage Impact
The Finnish Broadcasting Corporation reported that the dispute has resurfaced between employers and unions in Finland regarding compensation for workers affected by Ukrainian drone attacks. Some employers oppose paying wages to those who lost their jobs due to these incidents, while other organizations believe that the solution is in accordance with the law. Authorities have repeatedly issued warnings about Ukrainian drones inside the country, some of which were carrying unexploded munitions. Investigations suggest that their source is Ukrainian, with a direct Russian threat being ruled out. Additionally, the Finnish president announced that the country does not expect a Russian attack on the Baltic states and has kept the border with Russia closed until further notice. Meanwhile, the Minister of Defense indicated that Finland is prepared to shoot down drones heading towards Russia if they violate Finnish airspace.
