Trump reveals death of top Venezuelan gang figure
U.S. President Donald Trump announced the killing of one of the most prominent leaders of the Trene de Aragua gang, Hector Guerrero, in a military raid conducted in cooperation with Venezuelan security forces. The operation was carried out with the support of the Venezuelan government and in close coordination with our partners. The strike followed indictments issued by the U.S. Attorney's Office against the group for planning and executing terrorist activities within the United States. Guerrero was offered a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to his capture. Additionally, the raid to arrest Guerrero’s brother in Spain resulted in the dismantling of an affiliated gang cell there.
