Iran Sets Date and Place for Khamenei's Funeral
The funeral of the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei will take place in Tehran starting July 4th, concluding in Mashhad on July 9th. The ceremonies were originally scheduled for March but were postponed due to the war. The events will last for six days and will include the holy cities of Qom and Mashhad, significant in Shia Islam. Khamenei passed away in American Israeli airstrikes on Iran in February, after leading the country for nearly 37 years.
