Ahmed Al-Shar' addresses Syria-Lebanon entry reports
Interim Syrian President Ahmed El-Sharif stated that rumors about Syria entering Lebanon are unfounded. He confirmed that demarcating the borders between the two countries is not a priority at the moment due to ongoing crises and internal displacement in Lebanon, which is estimated at around one and a half million people. He also referenced his previous positions regarding Hezbollah and the responses to its interference in Syria, warning that any misstep could potentially trigger a destabilizing escalation within Lebanon.
