Law halts Lebanon involvement, delays demarcation
Syrian President Ahmed Sabri denied Syrian interference in Lebanese affairs, pointing out that the border issue with Lebanon is complex and has been pending since 1946. He emphasized that Syria is currently focused on enhancing stability, developing economic relations, and supporting development, while postponing detailed discussions on the border until other priorities emerge. He also highlighted the complexity of the Shab'a farms issue and disagreements over its sovereignty, warning against opening new disputes. Additionally, he noted that there are more than 1.4 million Syrian refugees in Lebanon, confirming that the situation remains unresolved.
