IRGC warns ships crossing Hormuz
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard issued a warning to ships operating near the Strait of Hormuz, announcing that the strategic waterway has been "completely closed" and that stern measures will be taken against any movement within the strait. Ships are urged to refrain from any activity until further notice. This comes amid escalating tensions, with the U.S. military announcing that it shot down Iranian drones targeting commercial ships in the strait, which is one of the most vital routes for global oil and gas transportation. The International Maritime Organization confirmed that 46 maritime incidents have occurred in the region up to June 11, resulting in 14 fatalities.
