Portugal pays tribute to Jota with bracelets
Viteinia, the midfielder of the Portugal national team, stated that the team will wear commemorative bracelets in honor of his late teammate, Diogo Jota, at the World Cup. This was before their opening match against the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The bracelets carry the names of all team members and were adopted as gifts from Prime Minister Luis Montenegro. They serve as a tribute to Jota, who tragically passed away last year in a car accident. He added that the team has decided to wear the bracelets during the matches. Portugal is preparing for their opening game on Wednesday, expressing their ambition to compete for the title despite the climatic challenges. It is worth mentioning that Viteinia is striving to realize his dream of winning the World Cup, just as his father did previously.
