German Digital Minister follows AI guidance
German Digitalization Minister Carsten Fielder is facing media scrutiny regarding his use of artificial intelligence in preparing official texts. Reports have emerged indicating that many of his speeches and op-eds attributed to him show clear signs of relying on AI technologies, including a speech delivered in 2024 at the American Foreign Policy Research Center, the Atlantic Council. The ministry confirmed that Fielder uses AI as a support tool to enhance productivity, with human review of the content before publication, as part of Germany's effort to promote the adoption of digital technologies.
