The article discusses former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon's criticisms of the Benjamin Netanyahu government. He accused it of encouraging settlers to commit crimes against Palestinians and adopting discriminatory policies that amount to apartheid. He pointed to the deterioration of security conditions in the West Bank, and the government's preferential treatment of settlers, coupled with a lack of investigation into many of the crimes committed and the inefficacy of police and intelligence agencies in the area. Ya'alon also expressed regret over the absence of a political settlement with the Palestinians, considering that separating Palestinians from Jews is the necessary solution to prevent the situation from continuing as an apartheid state or a binational state.
