The International Football Association (FIFA) has decided to compensate Somali referee Omar Abdelqadir, who was set to be the first Somali referee to officiate matches at the 2026 World Cup. However, he was prevented from entering the United States due to alleged connections with terrorist organizations, despite not participating in the tournament.
