French President Emmanuel Macron affirmed that the G7 summit to be held in Évian will discuss the repercussions of the agreement between the United States and Iran, including the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the conclusion of a deal on the Iranian nuclear issue. The summit will also address diversifying energy sources and alleviating the impact of the crisis in the Middle East, amidst a sharp rise in fuel prices resulting from the closure of the strait following the outbreak of war in the region. Additionally, it is expected that the agenda will include the deployment of a naval convoy to ensure the security of this strategic waterway, following the agreement reached between Washington and Tehran.
