Mali Army and Russian Allies Regain Control of Nefes City in Northern Mali

The Malian army, with the assistance of Russian forces, managed to retake control of the city of N'Vals in northern Mali after several days of fighting against Tuareg rebels and separatists linked to Al-Qaeda. Last weekend's reinforcements enabled the forces to reclaim the city, which had been under rebel control since the attack last April.
