Taxes issue over 146,000 exemption certificates for small taxpayers

The Tax and Customs Authority in Yemen has announced that since the issuance of Law No. 8 of 2020, approximately 146,700 tax exemption certificates have been granted to owners of small and very small businesses, as well as small property rental income taxpayers, in order to facilitate access for the most deserving groups. The exemptions included over 100,000 certificates for small and very small business taxpayers, along with around 47,000 certificates for small property rental income taxpayers. Emphasis was placed on providing free and streamlined procedures to ensure that beneficiaries can access these benefits easily. This measure aims to support and develop the local economy amidst current challenges.
