Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir pledged to establish a dedicated Ministry for "Voluntary Migration" from the Gaza Strip if his party, Otzma Yehudit, joins the upcoming government. His plan involves encouraging around 250,000 people to leave during the first year, increasing to 1.118 million over three years, and approximately 1.86 million within seven years. The plan includes reaching agreements with countries such as Turkey, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Arab nations to receive those interested in migrating, along with providing support services for travel, training, and employment. The plan faces international and human rights criticism as it may violate international law, and the United States has rejected any plan involving the forced displacement of Gaza residents.
