The article discusses internal conflicts and disagreements within the Southern Transitional Council led by Aidrous Al-Zubaidi, particularly those that emerged after the war in the eastern regions. It focuses on fractures among members whom Zubaidi has appointed to positions and provided financial privileges, with some figures adopting hostile stances toward him at the first test of loyalty. The article also emphasizes that the most connectioned popular bases to the southern cause still uphold the principles of their struggle, despite suffering from poverty and unemployment. It raises the question of the validity of the trust granted to those unworthy and examines the impact of betrayals on popular and leadership components. It explains that the current phase has revealed internal betrayals and hidden loyalties tied to personal interests, while the grassroots remains genuinely committed to the southern cause.
