The "Sudan Coalition" requested the Human Rights Council to renew the mandate of the United Nations mission to document violations of the war in Sudan, emphasizing the importance of continuing investigations, identifying those responsible, and revealing external support provided to the war effort, in order to end impunity and ensure justice. The coalition praised the Fact-Finding Mission's report but expressed reservations about its methodology, calling for accountability of all supporting parties, including states and non-governmental entities, to involve everyone in the conflict. The meeting emphasized the need for UN reports to cover all elements of external support to provide a comprehensive picture of the causes and duration of the war.
