A French court has begun the trial proceedings for the two sons of former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Khaled and Ahmed, on charges related to corruption and money laundering. The court has detailed allegations concerning the purchase of luxury real estate and apartments in Paris near the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées, as well as bank accounts in Paris and Switzerland estimated at one and a half million euros and more than two million euros, respectively. The defendants did not appear before the court, and it is expected that the judiciary will present evidence to confiscate these properties and funds if the charges are proven.
