Tunisia busts drug trafficking scheme

Tunisian security forces have thwarted plans to distribute large quantities of drugs near schools and educational institutions across different Tunisian provinces, with a focus on dismantling drug trafficking networks. They successfully disrupted an attempt to distribute around 14,000 “Erika” pills in the Tajrouine area, resulting in the arrest of several individuals believed to be involved. Additionally, authorities seized a quantity of cannabis, narcotic pills, and cutting tools. It is suspected that some of the individuals involved are leading distribution networks targeting students and working to spread drugs coinciding with the start of the school year.
