Egyptian artist Ahmed Gamal withdraws from Arab Music Festival
Egyptian artist Ahmed Gamal has joined the list of performers who have withdrawn from the new edition of the Arab Music Festival, scheduled to begin on October 20. His withdrawal comes in protest of statements made by Rida El-Wakeel, the head of the Egyptian Opera House, who described his participation as a "favor" due to his family ties with the festival's organizer. This decision occurs amid ongoing controversy surrounding artists' involvement in the festival and highlights the tension between art and politics within the Egyptian cultural events.
