California governor rebukes Trump over LA remarks
California Governor Gavin Newsom criticized US President Donald Trump's remarks, in which he alluded to the possibility of Iran destroying major American cities like Los Angeles or San Diego. Newsom described Trump as "mentally unstable and dangerous." This came after Trump, at a campaign rally, indicated that the United States is bearing high costs to maintain its security, adding that its opponents could destroy small or large American cities, and that this situation will end very soon. The remarks suggest a potential escalation of military or security threats.
