Two men have died and 16 people were injured in two separate incidents during the traditional "Dankiri" Festival in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, resulting from two parade floats overturning while navigating curves on the event route. The festival is one of Japan's most prominent folk heritage events, featuring the pulling of large, elaborately decorated wooden carts that depict historical and popular scenes. These floats move at high speeds through narrow streets filled with crowds, requiring precise coordination among participants. The identities of the deceased and the nature of the injuries among the injured have not been disclosed.
