Israeli forces eliminate Hamas battalion leader
The Israeli army and the Shin Bet announced the killing of Hisham Jamal Abu Jalah, a platoon leader in a Hamas elite unit, in an airstrike in the Khan Yunis area in the southern Gaza Strip. Abu Jalah participated in the storming of the Kisosfim site during the October 7 attack and is accused of taking part in the kidnapping of Israelis, as well as planning attacks against occupation forces and working to rebuild Hamas's military capabilities. The army carried out strikes targeting military infrastructure in Gaza aimed at neutralizing security threats and maintaining regional stability.
