Israeli Army Probes Galilee Explosion
One person was killed and 20 others were injured, including several in critical condition, following an explosion of unexploded ordnance near the town of Nwet Mardakhay in the Galilee region of northern Israel, close to the Lebanon border. The incident occurred during a school trip, and preliminary reports suggest that the explosion was caused by unexploded ammunition along the route of the trip. The Israeli army dispatched helicopters to assist and is currently investigating the causes of the incident, with the possibility that it resulted from a stash of unexploded ammunition.
