Arrest Rumors Ruled False
Two senior officials in Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council denied rumors that the Houthis had captured Lieutenant General Mahmoud al-Subaihi. They said he was at a secret location in Aden and that government members had spoken with him this afternoon. One of the officials said the rumors were intended to spread chaos and undermine fighters’ morale, noting Houthi losses over the past four days on the southern and Taiz fronts. He urged journalists and citizens not to disclose officials’ locations and to rely on official sources.
