Latitude Five25 demolition advances

Demolition of the Latitude Five25 apartment towers on Columbus' Near East Side began in May and is expected to finish in the fall. The buildings, formerly known as Sawyer Towers, were evacuated in December 2022 after years of deterioration. Nuveen Real Estate bought the site for $7 million and plans to develop an eight-building, 380-unit complex with various amenities for seniors and families.
