Lebanon and Israel hold new talks

The U.S. Department of State announced a new round of direct negotiations between Lebanon and Israel in Washington from June 23 to 25. This is the fifth such meeting between the two sides, aimed at reaching strategic understandings and advancing the peace process. During the meetings, Washington discussed with Beirut support for Lebanese sovereignty and the promotion of peace with neighboring countries, following the signing of an agreement between the United States and Iran that aims to end military operations on various fronts.
