Karkhi outlines initial payments for healthcare providers
The Social Security Organization in Lebanon announced that it has increased the percentage of medical expenses it covers from 75% to 90%, aiming to support hospitals and doctors in covering treatment costs. In June 2026, the Director General, Mohammed Karky, issued two decisions to disburse an initial payment of approximately 10 billion Lebanese pounds, in addition to paying around 105 billion pounds for previous transactions, in order to ensure the continuity of financial flows and support the healthcare sector.
