Ain al-Arab detainees released Israel to reduce forces in South Lebanon

The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that the Israeli army intends to reduce its troop numbers in southern Lebanon and withdraw part of the combat brigades, along with conducting exchanges of units deployed in Gaza and southern Lebanon. Israeli forces also released six individuals they had detained in Ain Arab—among them Lebanese and Syrians—after several hours of detention. It is not ruled out that a direct telephone line between the Israeli General Staff headquarters and the Lebanese army in the southern region may be announced soon.
