Al Ahly Egypt Ends Coach Contract

The Egyptian Al Ahly club's management has terminated the contract of Danish coach Jesper Tureborg less than a year after he took charge. The club reached a financial settlement with him, whereby he will receive his June salary along with four additional months, despite his contract being valid for two years. Tureborg assumed coaching the team in October 2025 and managed 36 matches with the club, but he failed to achieve satisfactory results. The team finished third in the league, was eliminated by Espérance Tunis in the Champions League, and exited the Egypt Cup, with the only trophy he won being the Egyptian Super Cup.
