Bangladesh PM visits China

Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tariq Rahman paid an official visit to China from June 24 to 26 at the invitation of Chinese State Council Premier Li Qiang. This was his first visit since taking office. During the trip, he met with President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji, and discussed bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues. He also participated in the 17th annual gathering of New Heroes in Dalian. The visit aims to strengthen cooperation and friendship between the two countries within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
