The mummy dating back approximately seven thousand years has been returned to Libya. It was discovered in the Tukhroumi area of the Acacus Mountains in 2003. It was restored and studied in Italy in 2022, thanks to collaboration between the Libyan Directorate of Antiquities, the Italian Embassy, and Eni. It is scheduled to be displayed to the public at the National Museum in Tripoli at the end of July, making it one of the most unique archaeological artifacts in Africa.
