In Lebanon, gasoline prices rose from about $14.97 at the beginning of the year to over $28.82 by the end of May, then fell to $26.20 in mid-June. As for diesel, its prices increased by nearly 100% since the start of the year, before declining by 19.7% in June, influenced by the drop in oil prices and expectations that prices would stabilize around $80. Experts anticipate that fuel prices locally will continue to decline as global oil prices decrease.
