Sudan reports thousands of abuses

The National Committee for Investigating War Crimes and Violations in Sudan announced the documentation of over 30,000 murders and 2,000 cases of rape, in addition to approximately 15,000 detentions and enforced disappearances since the onset of the conflict more than three years ago. Sudanese Attorney General Intisar Abdul Al said that around 149,000 criminal cases have been registered, with more than 10,000 cases already decided, highlighting efforts toward justice and victim redress. Additionally, for the first time since the outbreak of war, the European Union mission held a meeting in Khartoum to discuss humanitarian aid and the country’s transitional situation. Meanwhile, the government accused the Rapid Support Forces of organ trafficking, a claim denied by sources.
