Iraq uncovers $85M corruption case

Iraqi judicial authorities have announced the seizure of over $85 million in a corruption case linked to a deputy minister of oil. A large portion of the funds was found hidden in homes and in excavations four meters deep. The investigations are related to mismanagement and waste in government projects. The director of the health department in Salahuddin has been arrested, in addition to the seizure of 70 properties, 21 vehicles, and 3 kilograms of gold. This case is considered one of the largest corruption operations in Iraq.
