Rozina Ladhkani joins Syrian Assembly

Artist Rouzina Al-Ladghani, born in Hama and a graduate of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus, has been chosen to join the Syrian People's Assembly. She is part of a list that includes 15 women out of 70 members appointed by the interim Syrian president, Ahmad Shara. The new council, consisting of 210 members, has begun a term lasting two and a half years, with the possibility of renewal. Its first meetings are scheduled for July 6. The list of members also includes 23 senators and 47 specialists, among whom 12 hold master's degrees and 17 hold doctorates.
