Senator Confuses Teams, Woman Corrects

During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar publicly corrected Republican Senator Eric Schmitt after he attempted to suggest that former special counsel Jack Smith was at an NBA game in Atlanta in 2024. Schmitt used this claim to challenge Smith's credibility regarding his investigations into Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election and mishandling classified documents. Klobuchar, who is a sports enthusiast, pointed out that Schmitt confused an NBA team with a college team from Iowa, revealing he may have misrepresented the facts intentionally.
