Pennsylvania faces major measles outbreak

Pennsylvania has reported over 1,000 measles cases this year, marking the largest outbreak in the state in more than three decades. The United States is experiencing its worst measles year since 1991, with nearly 3,900 cases nationwide and eight deaths reported in the past two years. The outbreak, starting in April west of Philadelphia, includes 198 hospitalizations and five deaths, with low vaccination rates cited as a key factor contributing to the resurgence.
