Senator Tillis regrets support for Hegseth

Sen. Thom Tillis reveals in his new book that his vote to confirm Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was his biggest career regret, and he also regrets supporting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as HHS secretary. He explains his decision-making process amid skepticism of allegations against Hegseth and discusses his broader criticisms of former President Trump’s policies and appointments. Tillis, soon leaving office, urges colleagues to oppose what he views as authoritarian tendencies and predicts a difficult upcoming election for Republicans.
