Las Vegas police identify Lake Mead barrel victim

Nevada police have identified the remains of Edward "Buddy" Lelburian Jackson, a man found in a barrel near Las Vegas in May 2022. He was shot in the head, and his body was discovered in Lake Mead after drought conditions lowered water levels. Investigators believe he died in the 1980s but have found no evidence linking his death to any criminal group. The case remains open as authorities work to determine the motive and identify his killer.
