Face photos may indicate cancer survival

Researchers at Mass General Brigham have developed AI models that predict cancer patients' biological age and survival chances using only a facial photograph. Trained on over 40 million images, the models assess specific facial features linked to aging and mortality risk, with findings indicating that facial analysis could aid in clinical evaluations. While promising, experts emphasize that further validation is necessary before such AI tools can be used in routine medical practice.
