Supreme Media Council suspends 7 programs
The Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt has decided to suspend 7 television programs on the channels "Shams" and "Hayah" due to blatant violations of media content standards. The violations included promoting superstitions and charlatanism, providing historically and scientifically inaccurate information, illegally mixing advertising with editorial content, and promoting food products without authorization from the Food Safety Authority. These decisions are part of the council's efforts to regulate content and protect viewers from misleading material, as part of a campaign to strengthen adherence to professional codes and standards, while continuing to review other programs stemming from joint productions.
