Florence Bayo Urges Men to Address Sexual Violence
British star Florence Pugh highlighted the importance of confronting sexual violence, calling on men to speak out against this phenomenon and participate in addressing behaviors that contribute to the spread of assaults. Her remarks came amid a case involving allegations of sexual assault against a former student at Cornell University, where seven members of the Chi Phi fraternity were accused of sexually assaulting her in 2024. Legal investigations are still ongoing, and no charges have been proven yet. Pugh emphasized that dealing with issues of sexual violence must involve everyone and that there is an urgent need to challenge a culture of silence and complicity, especially with the reopening of criminal investigations that may lead to criminal charges. She also criticized how some educational institutions handle such cases, highlighting the importance of protecting women and ensuring fair treatment for the accused, amid controversy over her Instagram post after it was classified as sensitive content.
